 Congratulations Hacienda Golf Club
The WSCGA Foundation Club Achievement Award Winner

An active WSCGA member club, Hacienda Golf Club is a long time supporter of the WSCGA Foundation. Over the years, Hacienda has held fundraising tournaments to further the efforts of the Foundation and its goal to foster a lifetime interest in golf and grow the game for young ladies.

Every year their club tournament (supporting the WSCGA Foundation), with the dedication of the Ladies Auxiliary, grows in numbers of participants and money raised. In 2009, this tournament alone raised almost $7,500.00 - an increase from 2008.

Hacienda has always been a constant supporter of the WSCGA Foundation. Hacienda is committed to aiding the Foundation in its endeavor to award academic scholarships and grants for youth and recreational golf programs.

In addition to their yearly fundraising tournament, Hacienda Golf Club also supports two scholarship funds. The Bev Granger Memorial Scholarship Fund helps young women majoring in Pre-Med and the life sciences. A graduate of the University of Minnesota’s School of Nursing, Bev Granger was an avid golfer, an ardent tennis player, and skier. She balanced family and career, working as an x-ray technician for 45 years and raising three children.

In 2009, the first Flo Scott Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Holly Fine, a student at the University of California, Berkeley. Flo Scott was not only an enthusiastic golfer, but also a philanthropist who gave back to her community. Numerous female golfers will be touched by her generosity through this new scholarship opportunity.
